We will also talk about the upcoming Region 8 Education Conference.

Note: Randy Shervey was scheduled to talk about FHA VC Sheets but that was canceled because FHA is discontinuing the use of the VC Sheets.

  1. Week of October 16-19, 2005:  Northwest Regional Education Conference and NAIFA National Education Conference.

    Oct. 15 Saturday - Pre-Conference Wine Country Tour & Tasting 10am - 5pm

    Oct. 16 Sunday - Bob Keith, well known local Appraisal Instructor:  "Where It Itches", The Ultimate Q & A on Appraisal Issues.  (7 hrs. of continuing education credits.  There will be a lunch sponsored by Portland RMLS.

    Oct 17 Monday - New Fannie Mae Forms Class - 7 hrs continuing education credits.  Annual National Committee Meetings.

    Luncheon Speaker will be the Appraisal Sub Committee.

    Spouse Walking Tour of Downtown 1pm to 5pm

    Education/Research Trust Dinner (Murder Mystery Theme) & Silent and Live Auction 6:30pm to 10:30pm..........Auction items will include some of the artwork from the St. Louis NAIFA building.

    The Trust has continued to fund development of new education courses and they have also funded the cost of rewriting existing courses. They need our help in the form of donations (items) to auction off. Anyone who has a donation may bring it to the general meeting or get it to Joni Cook at 11021 Macksburg Rd, Canby, 503-266-6706.

    Oct 18 Tuesday - National Board of Directors Meetings.

    Buffet Luncheon with Appraisal Qualifications Board Chairman 12noon to 1:00pm

    Willamette River Dinner Cruise 6:30pm to 10:30pm

    Oct 19 Wednesday - Portland Historic Underground Tour (with lunch) 1pm to 5pm

    NAIFA Awards and Installation Banquet 6:30pm to 10:30pm

    All members are welcome to attend the national annual business meetings at the Conference.

    Here’s a chance for you to see first hand just how much time and effort is involved and gain appreciation for our members who volunteer their time to serve on these committees! Free lunch for our members who attend these meetings.

This fall we are planning a 4 hr Basic Construction Terminology course, the 4 hr ANSI (American National Standards for Measurement of Residential Houses)
course, and the 1-day Marshall and Swift Residential Cost Handbook course.

 

IFA DESIGNATION CLASSES
Lloyd Werner will continue to instruct classes to help members get their IFA designations upon demand. There will be a minimum attendee requirement.

DATA SERVICE FEE STRUCTURE

DATA SERVICE FEE STRUCTURE

1) Pro-Active Membership: Be a designated member, and a national officer or national committee member, regional governor, state director, chapter officer, active chapter
committee chairman, and attend a minimum of 8 general luncheon meetings in a 12 month period.

RMLS - No fee
Data Quick - $60/quarter

2) Active Membership: Be an active committee member, or be a designated member, and attend a minimum of six or more general luncheon meetings in a 12 month period.

RMLS - $36/year
Data Quick - $90/quarter

3) Base Membership: Attend a minimum of four or more general luncheon meetings in a 12 month period.

RMLS - $84/year
Data Quick - $180/quarter

4) Non-Active Membership: Attend three or less general luncheon meetings in a 12 month period.

RMLS - $144/year
Data Quick - $210/quarter

 

IFA MEMBERSHIP GOLF
Weather permitting... that means 40 degrees or higher, not socked in with fog, not pouring rain.

Mornings prior to each general meeting at the Rose City Golf Course, 2200 NE 71st Avenue, Portland. Tel 503-823-4653 or 503-253-4744. Thomas Guide Page 597 E3. Tee time is 8 a.m.

The NAIFA web site now has a link to Amazon.com. NAIFA gets a percentage of every order made through that link which will benefit all Chapters. NAIFA membership is not required.

Board meetings are usually the second Wednesday after each Monday General Meeting.
