Introduction:
The Portland OR / Rose City
Chapter members are encouraged to use the
Internet to obtain and share information,
communicate between members, and provide
outstanding services to clients, and others
related to the profession of real estate
appraisal. This is done through our web site (www.ifanw.com).
The Portland OR / Rose City
Chapter's Web Site is accessible to anyone with
access to the World Wide Web, and functions as a
place to disperse information about Chapter
services and activities.
Internet Policy:
The Portland OR / Rose City
Chapter of NAIFA's official Internet Web Site
resides on a server at Pronet Northwest Web
Designs, Portland, Oregon and is supported and
maintained by a designated Webmaster appointed
by the Board of Directors.
Contents of all Web-based
electronic pages/information must follow the
chapter's standards regarding nondiscrimination
and may not contain offensive material. This
includes direct links to other pages or
computers. A page with no offensive information
may be considered offensive if it contains
direct links to a page with objectionable
material and may be pulled at the discretion of
the Portland OR / Rose City Webmaster. Allowable
links will include related resources to
appraisers and other NAIFA member sites as
approved by the Board of Directors.
Procedure:
Committees and board members
are strongly encouraged to use the Internet to
provide information and services to the
membership through submission of material to the
Webmaster.
Webmaster:
The Webmaster will be the
chairman of the Portland OR / Rose City Chapter
Web Committee.
Publication on the Internet:
- Webmaster or designated assistant(s) will
build and maintain the Web Site.
- Members are encouraged to provide
information and services via the Web Site.
- The Web Site will link directly to any
member's web pages.
- The Webmaster and the Board of Directors
will spot check to make sure that information
submitted or linked to the Web Site meets our
publishing standards.
Members:
Members are responsible for
understanding and observing Web Policies and
Procedures concerning the creation and use of
web-based information.
Members are encouraged to review links to
their own Webpages and to maintain quality
sites.
Members are responsible for
observing copyright regulations, Federal and
State laws and Chapter Policy when submitting
web-based information.

Committee:
The responsibilities of the
Web Committee regarding the website include:
- To design and/or review all web pages.
- To review, evaluate and revise the Web
Policy.
- To ensure consistant formatting and policy
compliance .
- To review, and revise hypertext links
included on the site for accuracy on a regular
basis.
- To publish the approved pages to the web
site.
